Pediatric Advance Life Support (PALS): Instructor
Full Description
The course educates participants on how to adequately use instructor teaching materials, ensure that  students meet learning objectives, offer student coaching skills, provide an objective skills performance evaluation, and understand AHA instructor policies to effectively train others in ACLS.

Attendees will be required to purchase a PALS instructor package.  This package contains a PALS instructor manual, PALS provider manual, and PALS instructional DVD set, PALS poster set, and PALS crash cart card set. This is available through AHA website upon course completion.

Successful Instructor candidates must pass a multiple-choice exam with a minimum score of 84% and demonstrate proficiency in all skills.

Resources Required
The instructor candidate must hold a current AHA PALS certification through AHA, be proficient in all skills, and must be a licensed or certified healthcare professional with ACLS skills in their scope of practice (examples include paramedic, MD, RN, NP, PA).
