Brief Description: Firefighter Level I/II, NFPA 1001-I-II

Full Description: This course qualifies for funding through the Workforce Development program for Group A only.
Course fee includes all instruction, course material, manual, dorm, and meals. There is no reduction to the fee if any of the above are not needed.

Training Dates: 08/10/2025 - 10/02/2025

Prerequisites: MSCB Physical Examination Release form (MSCB-04 revised 12/2009) (this must be performed by an MD or DO) Valid for one year but must be valid from date of exam during all days of the scheduled delivery.
Completion of the Hazardous Materials Awareness and Operations Course is required prior to entry into the Firefighter Level I/II program.
Provide a copy of a current CPR Card issued by American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or equivalent
Completion of the Mississippi Trainee Agility Test (MSTAT). The MSTAT tests are scheduled each month.
Provide a copy of H. S. diploma or GED notarized by issuing institution or school board, Letter from school board with student’s name, SSN, & graduation date, or copy of transcript from a junior college or four year university.
Provide a copy of the certificate or proof of meeting Emergency Medical Care Requirements (MSCB Form) or First Responder Training, EMT, First Aid Class.
Provide a copy or image of the driver license, government issued photo I. D., or notarized Birth Certificate showing proof of age for the student.

Resources Required: Students are required to bring full Personal Protective Equipment. If taking the on-campus program, we will provide an SCBA for you upon arrival.

Reporting Instructions: If taking the on-campus program, students are required to report to campus on Sunday at 3:00pm the day before class begins.

Housing is mandatory: Check-In 08/10/2025
