FIREFIGHTER II
Full Description
This program builds on the skills learned in Firefighter I and meets the requirements of NFPA 1010, Chapter 7, for Firefighter II. Students will expand their knowledge of fireground operations with advanced training in incident command support, fire cause determination awareness, foam operations, advanced search and rescue, tactical ventilation, and fire attack strategies. Both cognitive and hands-on skills testing are required and must be completed at the Mississippi State Fire Academy. Successful completion ensures participants can perform at the Firefighter II level within their department’s SOPs and are prepared for leadership roles and more complex fireground assignments
