Full Description
This course satisfies the requirements of NFPA 1020: Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, Fire Officer, and Emergency Medical Services Officer Professional Qualifications chapter 11, 2025 edition "Fire Officer III". It is designed for the Chief Officer who is ready to advance to the upper management level within his/her department. This course offers in-depth knowledge of management and administration principles. allowing the officer to make basic evaluations of employee relations and to assume a more proactive role in his/her department.

Reporting Instructions
Students are asked to wear fire department uniforms while attending upper-level classes. No casual attire.  This program is writing and time sensitive. Basic writing skills are necessary to complete this course. As stated in the NFPA standard, students must be able to analyze data and communicate both orally and in writing. Due to the complex nature of the class projects, laptops are required for this course.
