LIVE FIRE INSTRUCTOR/INSTRUCTOR-IN-CHARGE
Full Description
This course is designed to bring Live Fire Instructors in compliance with the requirements of NFPA 1020: Standard for Fire and Emergency Services Instructor, Fire Officer, and Emergency Medical Services Officer Professional Qualifications Chapter 7 and 8, 2025 edition, and NFPA 1400: Standard on Fire Service Training, 2026 edition. This course is designed for those persons who are qualified as an Instructor and could be designated by an authority having jurisdiction to instruct or oversee live fire training evolutions.

Reporting Instructions
Participants are encouraged to wear fire department uniforms while attending.  No casual attire.  
Students must bring NFPA-approved structural firefighting protective clothing. This includes
a helmet, coat, pants, boots, hood, and gloves. Students can bring their department issued SCBA or a campus SCBA will be provided.
