Full Description
This course is designed to address the management needs of first-in engine company officers or officials who are responsible for emergency response actions, including the direct supervision of other fire personnel, prior to the arrival of higher-ranking departmental officials. The main focus of the course is to advance the ability of the initial officer in charge of the scene of a fire situation to safely manage the response actions of assigned personnel. The course curriculum includes preparation for response, decision-making, and tactical operations.

Students must bring NFPA-approved structural firefighting protective clothing. This includes
